The Materials module records the usage of materials and hours logged by employees on projects. This data can be reviewed and optionally approved before being exported to your ERP system.
Material Approvals
You can filter materials using the dropdown filter. The available filters are:
- Approve – Displays materials awaiting approval.
- Waiting for synchronisation – Approved materials pending synchronisation with your ERP system.
- Use on deleted materials/sites – Entries that can't be processed further because they were recorded on deleted sites or materials. This can occur if users fail to refresh the FacilityApps system regularly.
Material Approvals & Departments
Department Heads will only see entries relevant to their own department.
Material Edits
To edit material usage entries, delete the original line and enter a new one using New Material. Note: data from lookup tables, such as Time Registration, cannot be added through this screen.
Materials on Deleted Materials or Deleted Sites
If employees record usage on a deleted material or site, those records appear in this overview and can only be deleted.
Hidden Feature: Custom Entry Dates
If your materials entry form includes a custom date field, the material will be recorded using that specified date instead of the actual submission date.
