In FacilityApps, you can continue working even when offline, albeit with some limitations. Once the connection is restored, the app will resume normal operations. This article outlines the functionality, limitations, and processes when working offline in FacilityApps.
Offline Limitations
The following functionalities are not available when working offline:
- Receiving updates on anything.
- Retrieving documents from Document Manager or Activities Log.
Unsynchronised Documents
When you submit forms while offline, FacilityApps places them in the 'Unsynchronised Documents' queue. The app will synchronise these documents once you're back online.
Changing Task Statuses Offline
Tasks that have had their status changed will also be synchronised as soon as the connection is restored.
Logging In Offline
When you log into FacilityApps, you download all necessary data for offline work. However, keep in mind that this download process can take some time. You can also log in offline, but this is only possible if you were the last user on that specific device. In such cases, the app will work with the data that was retrieved before.
Offline Domain Switching
Switching to another domain offline is not possible.
